Hi, I’m Zoe. I am Immersion Pilates.

I discovered Pilates 13 years ago as the result of a back injury. I did years of Clinical Pilates, until I found Classical Pilates. The Classical Pilates at the time seemed to be a richer experience and from there, I was hooked. I fell in love with everything Pilates and decided to complete the Classical Pilates certification.

I completed my ‘Professional Pilates Comprehensive Certification’ (min 800 hours), with ‘Authentic Pilates Education International’, as it provided greater depth to my teaching because it teaches not only the exercise but the method as a whole and trains your eye to a higher standard.

Since becoming fully qualified I have completed further education with ‘The Vertical Workshop’ which focuses on the biomechanics of pilates movement. I have also completed further education with Dr. Sarah Duvall of ‘Core Exercise Solutions’ - Pregnancy & Postpartum corrective Exercise Specialist 2.0.

My particular focus is in women’s health. I asses the body through the lens of core muscle balance and how you manage pressure within your core canister because if we are not managing pressure well, it can lead to unbalanced core muscle firing, pelvic floor issues and diastasis recti.

Working on pressure management, core strength and breathing is so supportive for women who are looking to fall pregnant, are pregnant and are in post pregnancy because these are the issues that arise from the changes that pregnancy needs to create in your body to support the growing baby.

It is not only pregnancy that can knock our core system off balance, it is also stress as a whole. We all tend to hold tension in different parts of our body & it can throw off our balance through muscle compensation.

I use a fusion of Pilates and Core Exercise Solutions concepts to support the body to learn to let go of negative tension, rebalance pressure & improve pelvic floor health so that we can create positive tension/strength that will support your body and give you more functional balance.

Life is busy and can be hard & challenging, if we feel balanced, strong and supported in our body we show up for life with so much more vitality.
